Craftsmanship in Action | Daniel Roth

Color grading for a Daniel Roth film dedicated to the making and assembly of the Rose Gold Tourbillon case. A precise, sober and premium image.

This Daniel Roth film focuses on the making and assembly of the Rose Gold Tourbillon case. It highlights the precision of each gesture, the quality of the finishes and the beauty of the watch’s volumes. The objective was to give full space to craftsmanship. The visual treatment had to stay sober, readable and faithful to high watchmaking standards.

The color grading was designed to enhance reflections, metallic textures, deep blacks and the refinement of the finishes. The image could never feel over-processed. The film had to remain precise, elegant and fully readable down to the smallest details.

On this project, I handled the grading. The goal was to reinforce the visual consistency of the film and support a narrative centered on the case, its construction and the excellence of its assembly. The finish needed to express both watchmaking precision and cinematic quality.

In a craftsmanship-driven watchmaking film, color grading plays a decisive role. It shapes the perception of materials, volume and reflections. All of this contributes directly to the perceived value of the object.
