Color grading for the first episode of the Lallier series. A piece designed to build a sensitive documentary atmosphere around encounter, champagne and craftsmanship.
This first episode of the Lallier series establishes a documentary narrative centered on encounter, exchange and the world of champagne. The film needed to preserve a sensitive and natural approach. It also had to maintain the premium dimension associated with the brand.
The color grading was designed to preserve soft lighting, material richness and the overall consistency of the atmospheres. On branded documentary content, finishing has to support emotion and storytelling. It should not erase the truth of the footage.
On this project, I handled the grading. The goal was to give the episode an elegant, organic and cohesive visual identity. The final image needed to translate the precision of craftsmanship, the delicacy of the subject and Lallier’s high-end positioning.
This kind of documentary film requires subtle color work. It needs close attention to skin tones, materials and lighting variations. The goal is to keep a sense of accuracy while reinforcing perceived quality.
